Crunchy, sweet & salty, slightly umami Savory Nuts are the perfect hold-over from when the wine is poured until dinner is served.  Great by the handful or as part of a snack collection, this simple recipe is sure to become your New Year’s food solution.


INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup pistachio meats
¼ cup hemp seeds
¼ cup pumpkin seeds
¼ cup sunflower seeds
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons reduced-sodium tamari

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.

Over medium heat, warm a small skillet.

Add cashews, pistachio meats, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds, stirring until golden.

Transfer to a small bowl.

Add maple syrup and tamari, stirring until combined.

Transfer to prepared pan.

Bake for 12 minutes.

Serve once cool or store in an airtight container.
