Profoundly rich & velvety with the perfect balance of bitter & sweet, French hot chocolate is a delicious midday pick-me-up or decadent end-cap. While chocolate was first brought to France by Spanish Conquistadors and revered by only the nobility, it was popularized, and therefore widely available, after the Industrial Revolution. At which time, the fortifying and energizing virtues of Chocolat Chaud could be found gracing tea rooms, most notably Angelina in Paris.
